About Me

My photo
I over and under estimate myself all the time sometimes even simaltaneously. But there is never a moment where I can't find something beautiful and good.

Plasma Bus

Her name was Kate
She stood under icicles waiting for the 16
I waited by steamy vents
Girls saw Kate
Tap tap on the glass they did
Pointing at Kate
"Damn girl, she be so fugly"
Kate didn't pay them more than a glance
She was too busy listening
To her bandaged and stickered
Purple walkman
Wheels rolled to the corner
Kate and I boarded
I stood behind to view her shiny blue
High School Musical
I love Zach Efron back pack
We both sat by windows
Kate changed the song on her walkman
Tap tapping the arrow next button
With neon green Walgreens glue on nails
Her left pointer finger nail was gone
Leaving only a pink nail behind
Kate brought out shimmery blue CD holder
Flipping through each CD
Careful not to rip another lime commodity
Kate probably felt like I was the girl at the stop
Staring at her
Examining her odd features
Her shy demeanor
But no
I was just done donating plasma
On the 16
Finding something other than my bandaged arm
To think about
To observe
To see
Kate pulled the line
"Stop requested"
Her tiny brown eyes darted towards mine
She adjusted her head phones
Got up
And left me
"Have a good one Kate"
The driver smiled
Kate did not
And we were off
Kate and her green nails
And Zach Efron back pack

This was just an observation type poem I guess...
I don't know if I'm any good at this sort of thing, but who knows.

I enjoy how disconnected it feels, I think it adds to mood of the piece. The title is pretty sweet too. I could see this being part of a observation based series, maybe about people you see on the bus. Might be a cool idea, or if you want to keep it stand alone that works too. Thanks for sharing :D
